Bernard Holtman

BERNARD A. “BERNIE” HOLTMAN, 74, died Thursday, November 25, 2021, at his home. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Texas State Veterans Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home.

Born March 2, 1947 in Loma Linda, CA, Bernie was a son of the late Edward Bernard and Loreta May (McLarren) Holtman. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran. He married Suanne Franklin June 7, 1969 in Las Vegas, NV. They moved to Jones County in 1974. Bernie worked for Pride Refinery for 23 years and owned and operated Apache Creek Outfitters for eleven years. He also made custom spurs for 30 years. Bernie was the president of Texas Cowboy Christmas Ball for 16 years. He also was a professional model for Western artists. Bernie also appeared on the Cooking Channel Network on four occasions.

Survivors include his wife, Suanne Holtman; one son, John Ethan Holtman of Abernathy; and two granddaughters, Hadley Elizabeth Holtman and Emma Holtman.
