Lois Grose

Lois Ilona (Dixon) Grose passed from this earth on December 2, 2021 at the age of 86.

Lois was born July 18, 1935 in Hillsboro, KS. She was born to William Gordon Dixon and Mary Gladys (Powell) Dixon.

Lois married Dale Olive Grose On September 2, 1956 in Clayton, KS. To this union of 64 years, they were blessed with 4 children: Melody, Gail, Clay, Cindy; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Lois and Dale lived in many states during their marriage. They retired in 2002 and moved to Fort Kobb Lake, OK, where they could enjoy their love of fishing and hosting many memorable family gatherings. Lois moved to Aspermont, Tx after her beloved husband died in January of 2021.

It was said by her children and grands that she was self-sacrificing, offering to others what might be her favorite food and by buying items items for kids and grandkids while she went without, never buying for herself.

Lois always encouraged her loved ones and met them with a kind smile and a hug. She was always ready to play a game and especially ready to go fishing.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Dale Grose, sister, Inez (Dixon) Jayroe: brother, Clint Dixon: 2 grandsons, Karl and Kevin Platte; her son-in-law, Jerald McSchooler. She is survived by her 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren
