Wanda Allen

Wanda J. Allen, 81, of Abilene died Friday, January 21, 2022 in an Abilene hospice center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Fort Phantom Baptist Church with Joe Foreman officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde. Burial will follow in the Fort Phantom Hill Cemetery.

Wanda was born October 22, 1940 in Priddy to Alma Ledbetter Head. She attended schools in Killeen and Abilene. She married Harold Dean Allen in Abilene on July 8, 1957. Wanda lived for God and her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Harold Dean Allen of Abilene; three sons, Mike Allen and wife Dana of Eula, Dean Allen and wife Shelley of Hamby and Jack Allen of Nugent; daughter, Tammy Allen Zuniga and husband Mike of Abilene; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Head; brother, Harold Jr. and daughter, Debra Allen Seals.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hendrick Hospice Care.
