Linda Womack

Linda Kay Franklin Womack, 76, died Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Abilene. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the family farm 7634 US Hwy 277, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2022, at Adams-Graham Funeral Home.

Linda Kay was born January 6, 1946 in Taylor County Texas and was the youngest of four children born to Collie Bert Franklin and Nona Bernice Parker Franklin. A graduate of Hawley High School, Linda Kay was a homemaker as well as Church Secretary at the Hawley Church of Christ. She spent several years as Administrative Assistant in the Athletic Department at Abilene Christian University.

Linda Kay was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Charles Ernest Womack; her parents; a brother, Jimmy Hugh Franklin; a niece, Tam Bell and a sister, Collye Yvonne Franklin Hickman.

She is survived by her three children: Clara Womack Barksdale (and husband, Brent) of Bluff Dale, Casi Womack Davis (and husband, Trussell) of Hawley, and Charles Ernest “Chase” Womack II (and wife, Heather) of Eden, seven grandchildren, Jamie Grace Barksdale, Jack Barksdale, Ava Davis, Lilah Davis, Magnolia Davis, Addie Morris and Charlie Womack; a sister, Suanne Franklin Holtman of Hawley.
