Nancy Salinas
DEMENSIA “NANCY” SALINAS, 87, died Monday, February 7, 2022, at Hendrick Hospice Care. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 10. 2022, at Adams-Graham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home.
Born November 24, 1934, in Anson, Nancy was a daughter of the late Andrew and Carmen Garcia. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Anson and had worked as a veterinary assistant at the Anson Veterinary Clinic. She worked for and assisted the late Dr. Max Hagler for 34 years until she retired in December of 2002. Nancy married Luis Salinas July 7, 1955, in Anson. Together they raised seven children.
Nancy’s greatest love was having all her children and family together. Her love of cooking was shared not only with her family but included friends. Nancy was a compassionate, loving person who made and had many friends near and far.
Nancy was preceded by her parents, her husband (Luis Salinas), a son (Robert Salinas), one grandson (James W. Cain), and two brothers (Alvino Garcia and Eligio Garcia).
Survivors include three daughters, Sylvia Garcia, JoAnn Cain (and husband, James), Betty Pollard (and husband, Lance); three sons, Joe L. Salinas, Fred Salinas (and wife, Jeannette) and Gilbert Salinas; three brothers, Raymond Garcia, Lupe Garcia and Andrew Garcia, Jr.; one sister, Alice Ramos; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
