Karl Berry
KARL RAY BERRY, SR., 42, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident. Born October 6, 1979 in Abilene to the late Arlie Ray and France Laverne (Stewart) Berry. In 1988, he graduated from Anson High School and lived in the Anson area most of his life, primarily working in the oil field.
Karl was the kind of guy that made friends everywhere he went and always had a smile on his face. He was quick witted and always made others laugh and smile, even at his own expense. Anyone fortunate enough to have known Karl knows that he never met a stranger, and that he was always ready for a good time. Karl loved his kids, family and friends more than anything. Karl’s favorite place to be was out in the country.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Kendra Cowan; two sons, Karl Ray Berry, Jr. and Ace Baxter Berry; a sister, Arla Kay Berry Smith (and husband, Scott); two brothers, Arlie “Trey” Berry and Daryl Kent Miller (and wife, Lucie); three nieces, Saebra Dominique Louis (and husband, Germaine), Seslea Deion Luna and Lauren Miller; a nephew, Jaxon Smith; an aunt, Karla Wofford (and husband, Scott); two cousins, Justin Wofford and Sarah Wofford; and several great nieces and nephews and many friends.
A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2022, at Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home. The family will be wearing Texas Longhorn attire in honor of Karl, please fell free to join in.
