WALTER EUGENE TOLLERSON, 76, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Hendrick Hospice Care. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home.

Born September 27, 1945 in Waxahachie, Eugene was a son of the late Walter P. and Pauline (Billings) Bennett. He married his loving wife of 58 years January 18, 1964 in Anson. They lived the following twelve years in Fort Worth before returning to Anson. Eugene was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He also was the song leader and drove the bus for the church. Eugene coached little league baseball and was known as “Coach” by many others.

Eugene was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Tollerson; one daughter, Tamara Stevens (and husband, Jimmy); one son, Michael Tollerson (and wife, Yvette); six grandchildren, Joshua Stevens (and wife, Ginger Hall), Zachary Stevens (and fiancé, Rachel Rayburn), Brittney Hathcoat, Michael Stevens (and, Maylena Homer), Peyton Tollerson and Kayla Hathcoat; and four great-grandchildren, Aspen Stevens, Asher Stevens, Landon Hall and Logan Hall.

Family visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022, at Adams-Graham Funeral Home.
