Mary Shelton

Mary Joyce Shelton, 90, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in Abilene. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson, with Jason Hale officiating, directed by Adams Graham Funeral Home.

Born June 19, 1931 in Anson, Joyce was the daughter of the late John Lee Thompson and Elvira (Meyer) Thompson. She was a longtime resident of Jones County where she lived and worked for many years. Joyce was a member of the Anson Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Connie Ricci (and husband, Ron) of Abilene, Kathy Horrell (and husband, Billy) of San Angelo, and Bonnie Hale of Bandera; eight grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Austin Mays, Colten Crawford, Cutter Hale, Ty Hale, Trevor Ricci, Caleb Ricci, Carter Lange, Wyatt Rhodes and Luke Rhodes.

Family visitation will be Saturday, May 28, 2022, 12:30 p.m. till service time at Adams-Graham Funeral Home.
