Netti Lee
Nettie Elizabeth Lee, 88, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home. Family visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Adams-Graham Funeral Home.
Born February 12, 1934, in Anson, Nettie was a daughter of the late Romeo Rector and Elsie Bertha (Koenig) DeBusk. She graduated from Anson High School and married William "Billy" Lee July 12, 1952 in Jones County. Nettie worked at Anson City Hall for ten years until retiring. She later was the manager for the Anson Chamber of Commerce for fourteen years. Nettie was a longtime faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Anson. Nettie loved to make, bake, and create. She was on the Girl Scouts West Texas Counsel. Nettie was named Anson's Women of the Year in 1993 and the Mays Botanical Memorial Garden was dedicated to her.
Nettie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister (Phylecia DeBusk Bailey).
Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Weaver (and husband, Davis) of Hamlin and Donna Shipp (and husband, Ryan) of Abilene; three grandchildren, Michele Hall Newcomb (and husband, Jimmy), Dirk Littlefield (and wife, Kathy) of Humble and Jathan Littlefield (and wife, Tamara) of Hamlin; a brother, Bill DeBusk of Abilene; bonus grandchildren, Callie Weaver, Brian Weaver, Jason Weaver (and wife, Jenae), great-grandchildren, Rylan Littlefield, Ryder Littlefield, Rustyn Littlefield, Josiah Littlefield, Naomi Littlefield, Titus Littlefield and Gideon Littlefield; bonus great-grandchildren, Alex, Lille, Aili, Eli and Ilsa; and special neighbors, Don and Belinda Heller and Brooks and Janet Hagler.
