Nadine Myers
Nadine Middlebrook Myers escaped this mortal realm on August 25, 2024 at the age of 86. We think she did it on purpose to avoid having to make a decision in the pending presidential election.
She leaves behind two children, one brother, one sister, 7 grand-children, 20 great-grandchildren 6 great, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews and vast number of cousins along with several individuals who were nothing more than thieves, despite their claiming to be family, but took advantage of her generosity.
Nadine first married Leon Holt whom she shared three children with, Derrell, Elisa and Karl. She later divorced Leon and married Lex Myers.
Upon her return to the Texas, thinking it best to keep an eye on her, medical officials hired Nadine as a nurse where she helped heal those in need including as an emergency room surgical nurse.
Nadine enjoyed the beach, traveling, reading, and cooking and next to her family she loved her four-legged companion, Little Bit, most.
She had a life-long love affair with sourdough bread and whiskey cake.
Her devout feistiness and stubbornness had served her well throughout her life and even in her waning months, she was a model of strong will and sheer determination right up until the end of her journey here on earth.
On a last but serious note, the woman who loved life and taught her children to ‘laugh at the days to come’ is now safely in the arms of Jesus and dancing at the wedding feast of the Lamb.
She will be missed as a mother, sister, friend, grandmother great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She will be greeted in Heaven by her husband Lex, her parents, H.H. “Snooks,” and Lorene Middlebrook, brother Bucky, sister Gail and son Derrell.
Following her wishes, services will be held Saturday, August 31st at 10:00 a.m. at the Anson Church of Christ with graveside following. Visitation is Friday, August 30st at 6-7:30 p.m. at Adams-Graham Funeral Home in Anson.
This obituary was prepared by those who really loved her.
