Frances Garcia

FRANCES GARCIA, 64, died Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in Odessa. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home.

Born September 8, 1957, in Anson, Frances was a daughter of the late Pancho and Audelia (Galvan) Garcia. She graduated from Anson High School in 1976. Frances was a member of Saint Michael’s Catholic. She was a case worker for Texas Health and Human Services for many years. Frances moved to Odessa from Anson in 2016.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers (Ernest Garcia and Don Garcia), and two nephews (Ernest Garcia, Jr. and Cristian Garcia).

Survivors include one daughter, Marina Sanchez (and husband, Daniel Ponce); one step daughter, Maricela Sanchez; two stepsons, Mario Sanchez (and wife, Rebecca Guillen) and Jose Sanchez; longtime companion, Mauro Sanchez; two sisters, Minerva Vidaurri (and husband, Lee Rawlins) and Martha Gonzales; one brothers, Ralph Garcia (and wife, Mary Ortega); two granddaughters, Valeria Ponce and Sofia Ponce; a sister-in-law, Ramona Garcia; thirteen nieces and nephews; 33 great nieces and nephews; and 18 great great nieces and nephews
